Background
My nursing journey began as an Emergency Department Technician, where I developed rapid assessment skills, adaptability, and resilience under pressure. That experience laid the groundwork for my transition into critical care, where I have spent the past six years as an ICU nurse providing high-acuity care, advocating for patients, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Through the RN-to-BSN program at Samuel Merritt University, I expanded my perspective beyond the bedside—engaging in public health initiatives, quality improvement projects, and scholarly work that strengthened my ability to impact patient outcomes at both the individual and systems level.
